Path of Exile Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a common and essential way to boost the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a great source of additional damage, more AD or even more affixes.
Rare-grade equipment can be superior to modernized Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.
Armor
Armor upgrades can be applied to both weapon and armor items. They increase the effectiveness of the item they are attached to. Upgrades to armor can be found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at bonfires. They can also be salvaged using an expert or higher salvage kit to retrieve upgrades from the items.
The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to take on. Upgrading a piece of armor to its highest upgrade level will increase the damage it absorbs. It is important to keep in mind that this will increase the weight of the armor, so it must be heavier.
There are many different kinds of armor upgrade available in the game. Each one has a distinct impact. For instance, some upgrades will give the armor a certain amount of health points while others make it stronger and lighter. The type of armor upgrade that an item can get is indicated by the name of the upgrade as illustrated in the table below.
A few of the upgrades are also magic or a mix of technology and magic which is indicated by a "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Furthermore, some upgrades require a fee to use, which is indicated by an "Charges" entry in the table below. These charges are either updated daily or never expire depending on the upgrade.
Iron Ore is the cheapest method to upgrade your armor. upgrade item Cases gg can be found by exploring and looting small chests. Titanium is more expensive, but can be found in the smelters of Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to high level armor pieces. These upgrades can give significant improvements in performance and are worth the cost, especially for single-handed weapons.
Upgrading a piece of armor to its maximum upgrade level will significantly increase its defense capabilities, but the player should be aware that increasing its weight will drastically reduce its speed and agility. This is why it is not recommended to upgrade armor pieces that are higher than +9 since the added defense is typically not worth the weight and power cost of the improvements required.
Weapons
Weapon upgrades allow players to improve the effectiveness of certain aspects of the weapon. Upgrades can boost the accuracy of a rifle or the damage that shotgun shells cause. Some weapons have special upgrades that enhance their inherent characteristics. They include Frictionless Materials (improves stability and minimizes the risk of overheating) and Kinetic Coils (increases projectile acceleration for more damage).
The majority of upgrades to weapons require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. These are obtained through either finishing side quests, taking out a certain number of bosses or monsters, or through the Weapon Upgrade NPC in Central Flarine.
To upgrade the weapon, equipment set piece or Whetblade, you must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee that is a certain amount of Bars. The more bars you need to complete an upgrade, the more expensive the upgrade. If you have multiple upgrade materials The cost of upgrading will be lower.
In Chapter 2: Season 5, the way you upgrade your equipment and weapon sets changed a little. Previously you could go to an Upgrade Bench and pay a set number of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to a higher quality. You could do this until your weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level at which point the upgrades would reset.
This is still possible, but it depends heavily on RNG. Instead, you're much better off going to the stores and buying equipment with low upgrade levels but good base scores and stat distributions. These items have a greater chance of giving you the most prestigious tier of benefits and blessings.
The majority of players will prioritize upgrades to the weapons they most often use to help them level up quicker. In addition, players should consider upgrading the weapons favored by their teammates to increase their power as well. Shepard for instance, should upgrade the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R. This will make the weapon more effective when accompanied by biotic specialists like Grunt and Tali.
Jewels
Jewels are placed in the sockets of armor and weapons, enhancing the power of a character and bringing about secondary effects. Jewelry crafting is a method for making them, where you combine a gemstone with a number specific reagents on a jewelry table. The higher the level of the gem is, the greater its secondary effect. These reagents are available from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses all over the world, or through finding Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Prisms.
The Jeweler can enhance the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. The boosts to stats will differ depending on the level the jewel is at when it's slotted into weapons, jewelry, or other gear.
All levels of jewels can be made at the Jeweler, with the exception of the rare and legendary gems that require you to be at a high enough level to qualify for them. In contrast to other upgrade components, jewels can be swapped with another jewel of the same kind without damaging it. You are able to replace the jewel only once in a piece of equipment.
It is typical to use more gems to enhance the appearance of. The jewels also improve performance and create a surface harder than metal so that repeated friction from pivots do not cause damage to them.

Trinkets
Trinkets are items of equipment that provide a wide range of tiny but valuable benefits to your hero. They are available in the start-up area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They are also available from vendors and by the completion of road interactions. They can also be found on the Trading Post, or crafted by jewelers.
The first trinket a player will be able to unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny, but useful bonus in movement speed and evasion. The player will then be able to acquire necklaces, amulets, and rings, in a similar way similar to how they obtained weapons and armor. Every piece of equipment has an upgrade slot that is either universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and can be utilized on any piece of equipment. Jewels cannot be upgraded or replaced and are only compatible with certain trinkets.
These trinkets also provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active even when the character is not fighting. This allows a hero to be more efficient while inactive. It can also make up for the lack of a good team or talent tree slots that are normally filled by the hero's optimal stats.
As a rule trinket upgrades should be a priority BiS (Best in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace soon. Also, consider items with desirable statistics that aren't as significant as the iLevel of the item to be upgraded. This is true especially if you're looking to upgrade several stats on an item. It is more beneficial to upgrade a single important stat than two less important ones.
At the beginning of the game, players in the jungle are likely to upgrade their yellow trinket into a red one in the middle and top players usually choose either a pink or green ward (depending on the matchup). These choices can affect the hero's ability to manage the map.
In addition to the items mentioned above, players will also discover other trinkets in form of rewards and trophies throughout the game. These can be obtained through completing certain milestones in the story, like completing a chapter's main quest or destroying a boss. They can be viewed by selecting the appropriate achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
